Beaver Creek: Refrigerator Canyon Area

Description

Semi-alpine climbing with easy approaches. Well protected limestone slab, pockets and cracks. Holds and edges can be sharp, expect to abuse your rope, clothing and skin. Bring wading shoes for the creek and beware of high water in the spring. Car camping along the creek is plentiful.

From Helena, take N Last Chance Gulch St/N Main St, turn left onto Co Rd 229/N Montana Ave, turn right onto E Custer Ave. Continue onto Canyon Ferry Rd/Co Rd 430. Turn left onto Lake Helena Dr. Turn right onto Co Rd 280/York Rd, continue to follow York Rd. Turn left onto Nelson Rd. Continue onto Beaver Creek Rd. Destination will be on the left.
